Vidin marks the official opening of the tourist season in the region

Vidin municipality in cooperation with the association of hoteliers and restauranteurs marks the official opening of the tourist season in the Danube region.

The event will be held under the slogan “Vida, Kula and Gamza – a contemporary legend without boundaries” and is organized with the cooperation of the guide association in Bulgaria.

Bulgaria is going to open a tourism representation office in the Russian capital Moscow, Deputy Economy Minister in charge of tourism Ivo Marinov has announced.

Marinov spoke at the annual tourism expo Intourmarket in Moscow, as cited by Interfax and BTA. In his words, the Bulgarian tourism office in the Russian capital will be launched in a few months.

He said that over 455 000 Russian citizens visited Bulgaria in 2011, which is an increase of more than 20%...

Bulgaria is presented at an international tourism exhibition INTOURMARKET in Moscow.

The event is held form 17- 20th March 2012 in the exhibition complex Krokus expo centre.

The ministry of economy, energetics and tourism presents Bulgaria for a 7th year in a row at the event.
The leading slogan of the Bulgarian presentation this year is “Bulgaria-known and unknown”.

The presentation program plans a dance show, performed by folklore ensemble “Bulgare”. Spa procedures with products...

The jubilee 20th edition of the international exhibition “Vinaria” starts in Plovdiv. 40 wine producers from Bulgaria and 200 companies from abroad will participate in the event. The exhibition will take place from 15th - 18th march in Plovdiv. For the first time this year a blitz course “The magic of wine tasting” and a sommelier competition will be held during the event. This was announced by the press centre of the Fair.

Bulgaria's spa industry saw positive signs of recovery in 2011 even though a far cry from the boom years during the previous decade, figures show.

The number of tourists, who visited balneo-spa hotels in Bulgaria to enjoy the balmy effects of the procedures on offer, increased by 8% last year, according to data of the country's balneo and spa tourism association.

Industry officials expect balneo and spa tourism revenues to continue to increase in 2012 due to the recognition of Schengen...
