Bulgarian Winery Exports Rakia to China

One of Bulgaria's finest brands of rakia - ‘Slivenska Perla' will be exported to China, the Standart daily informs.
The export is foreseen to start from 2008. The chief of ‘Vini Sliven' Valeri Chulin told the deal had already been finalized.

Except the Slivenska Perla, the export will include gin and two brands of vodka.

Chulin also shared in front of Standart that the Chinese market is a very specific and difficult. He also added Vini Sliven already made a break on the Chinese market selling wine.

The company also exports alcohol to Kazakhstan. The winery annual report shows that the company keeps its strong positions on the Russian and the Scandinavian markets.

The company was originally founded in 1920. Currently it is one of the biggest wineries in Bulgaria with an annual capacity of about 80 million kg of grapes, 3 bottling lines, and 3000 barrels.

The winery produces red wines of different grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot noir, and white wines of the grape varieties Chardonnay, Muscat, Traminer, Ugni Blanc, Rkatsiteli, Misket and Aligote.
