Blagoevgrad Spa and Wellness


Location: Blagoevgrad city is a regional centre, situated on the picturesque southwestern slopes of the Rila Mountain. The climate in the resort is transitional with Mediterranean impact.

The mineral water: There are numerous mineral springs in the resort. The mineral water is slightly mineralized, hyper-thermal, with alkaline reaction and high flow capacity. The water is characterized as fluorine, silicon, sulfide-hydrogen sulfide, sulfate-hydro-carbonate-sodium, containing radon and lithium.

Application – the mineral water is suitable for spa medication and spa prophylaxis, when applied externally, in diseases of: bones and joints, nervous system, skin, female and male reproductive system. More limited is the internal application of the mineral water in cases of gastrointestinal diseases, some professional types of intoxication that appeared on the basis of heavy metals in the blood, kidney-urological and metabolic endocrine illnesses.
The water can also be utilized as a substance for initial prophylaxis of people with osteoporosis and tooth caries, as well as for sports and common prophylaxis.
