Holiday Inn plans to invest in the construction of hotels in the Bulgarian coastal cities of Varna and Burgas. Recently Holiday Inn opened its first hotel in the residential complex Mladost in Sofia that was rated as the best city hotel for 2006. Some 15 million euro have been invested in the project. The agreement for the construction of a bridge connecting Bulgaria's Vidin to Romania's Calafat over the Danube river will be signed in Sofia on January 30.
Focus news agency reported that the construction of the combined road and railroad bridge was among the most challenging infrastructure projects the Cabinet decided to undertake.

Bulgaria joins an international hunt expo "Hunt & Dog" for the first time from January 30 until February 4 in Dortmund, Germany.
The expo is among the most prestigious hunting and fishing ones in Europe. With nearly 500 exhibitors from over 20 different countries, the exhibition attracts around 70,000 visitors, Bulgaria's Ministry of the Agriculture and Forestry boasted.

A ferry complex connecting the Bulgarian town of Silistra to the Romanian Calarasi would start functioning by March 1 2007, Silistra deputy regional governor Ivan Nedev said.
Vessel mooring infrastructure as well as the internal infrastructure of the complex was finished in the end of 2006, Bulgarian news agency BTA said. Equipment for the various services to be offered at the complex is still to be provided.

A recreation of a Thracian settlement will be constructed near the coastal town of Tsarevo.
The settlement would be built on the road between Tsarevo and the village of Varvara on more than 14 000 sq m of municipal land, Dnevnik daily said.
Life of the Thracian tribes would be recreated there. According to the project some Thracian rituals would also be revived.
