The National Competition for Excellent Tourism Destination was Announced in Haskovo

The aims and criteria for participation in the national competition “Excellent Tourism destination, related to the protected territories” was announced in Haskovo by the State Tourism Agency, lead by the head of the agency Mrs. Anelia Krushkova.
The competition is developed under the frames of the European program EDEN 2008, which this year is held under the motto “Tourism and protected territories”, explained Krushkova.

Bulgaria will be divided into eight tourist regions

Bulgraria will be devided into eight tourist regions. This was announced by Stela Baltova – the vice president of the State Tourism Agency, during a conference which took place in Smolyan. The regions are: Sofia, The Rila and Pirin Mountains, The Rodope Mountains, Thrace, Black seaside, Ancient Bulgarian capitals, The Balkan Mountain range and the Danube region.

The ski season on “Kulionoto” slope, near Razlog was officially opened

Hundreds of guests and residents of Razlog tried the “Kulionto” ski slope in the beautiful mountain resort – Predel for the first time this season. The Kulinoto ski slope was opened with excellent skiing conditions, which makes it another attractive site at the foot of the Pirin Mountain.
The ski slope “Kulinoto” is situated just 6 km away from Razlog town, near Bansko. Numerous apres ski bars and taverns offer hot drinks and food at a very reasonable prices.

Discovery of an ancient tower proves the 20 centuries history of Burgas

Archeologists discovered the mythical ancient tower featuring in the coat of arms of the city of Burgas, reports Elena Dimitrova for StandartNews.

The find proved that Bourgas has a history of at least 20 centuries. The sensational news was announced yesterday by Burgas History Museum Director, Tsonia Drajeva and the Standart owner, Todor Batkov who also owns the property where the tower was discovered. Belogradchik Rocks competes with Mount Vesuvious
