The weather in Bulgaria

Meteorologists forecast sunny weather during the holidays this week.
Temperatures will reach 24 – 29 degrees, and will reach 30 degrees in some parts of the country.

The weather by the seaside will be sunny and still appropriate for sun baths.
The mountains will also provide excellent conditions for tourism. Temperatures over 1200 metres above the sea level will be 16 – 18 degrees.

Rose oil production is one of Bulgaria’s most successful tourist attractions

More and more foreign tourists are attracted by the opportunity to see how the world-famous Bulgarian rose oil is produced.

Organized tourist visits related with the production of rose oil are becoming increasingly popular. € 4,500 is the price of one kilogram of rose oil for whose production three and a half tonnes of rose petals are needed.

Rose oil contains some 300 constituents, and some of the trace elements have not yet been fully studied.

Thousand of tourists visit the salt pits in Bourgas

In fact these are the Bourgas salt pit – the biggest natural open air Spa centre in Bulgaria.

The red lye is a natural balm with proven healing qualities for the locomotive system, skin diseases and even just simple colds.

Honey Fest held in Plovdiv

Bulgaria’s second largest city of Plovdiv is the venue of the traditional Honey Fest (13 September - 22 September 2011), organized by the Acacia 1899 Apiculture Association.

The organizers announced that from the 10 000 tons of honey produced in 2010, some 8 000 have been exported.

This statistics once again proves that the honey product made in Bulgaria is of exceptionally good quality but it is not consumed widely enough within the country.
