Most of the Bulgarians agree that the ski resorts are profitable for the economy.

Generally the young and working Bulgarians support the expansion of the ski tourism in Bulgaria.

Most of the active skiers in Bulgaria assess the ski lifts and equipment in Bulgaria as good and very good.

About 14 km to the northeast of Momchilgrad there is a village by the name of Tatul. The steep mountains around make no hint at the existence of one of the most remarkable Thracian sanctuaries in Bulgaria.
The Thracian system of rituals and beliefs revolved around the solar cult. For sure, the sanctuary in Tatul was used as an observatory of a kind for studying the movement of the Sun on certain days of the year.

Kyustendil attracts tourists with numerous offers for “green tourism” in the municipality. This was announced by the head of “Tourism” department of the municipal – Nelly Velinova.

Osogovo mountain is one of the cleanest and venerable mountains in Europe and offer incredible conditions for green tourism.
The municipality also plans to popularize the local festivals of fertility and cherries.

The number of Russian tourists to Bulgaria in the last quarter of 2010 soared by 135.7% from a year ago, the national statistical institute said.
On the whole, the number of foreign tourists and business travelers coming to Bulgaria has increased by 21.7%, and that of the guests from USA and Canada has increased twofold.

At the same time, however, the night-stays of Bulgarian citizens in our hotels have shrunk by 0.2%. Still, the revenues from night-stays for the last quarter of 2010 amount...
