Bulgaria to attract tourists from Czech Republic with 100 Tourism Sites of Bulgaria

The Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Prague started campaign which presents 100 National Tourism Sites of Bulgaria to tourists from Czech Republic. On January 27 were presented the sites from number one to 20 - among them - Veliko Turnovo, Triavna, Dryanovo, Bozhentsi, Etura.

The initiative includes a game, lectures and movies about Bulgaria. The campaign about 100 National Tourism Sites is promoted in schools, universities and newspapers. Winners in the game will get weekend vacations in...

Sofia will create a public beach in the South Park

A public beach with two swimming pools with mineral water will be contracted in the South Park in Sofia. The hydro thermal centre will offer healing and prophylactics on a total area of 16 decares and will be larger than the central bath “Maria Luisa”, which remains closed for years.

The wellness centre will have a capacity of 7000 people per day.

Vidin hosted the “Traditions without boundaries” festival

200 years old folklore costume was presented during the festival. Over 100 participants from workshops from Bulgaria and Romania attended the event.

The festival “Traditions without boundaries” is being realized in the frameworks of the “E-79 culture corridor between Bulgaria and Romania”.
The culmination of the event was a fashion defile of traditional costumes from Bulgaria and Romania. Authentic 200 years old costumes from Shishentsi village amazed all guests with their beauty and...

Uzana will develop as a wellness resort

Uzana ski centre will work over developing of wellness tourism in the region. The cite is famous as the Geographic centre of Bulgaria. There are several small ski slopes for beginners, as well as a 1 km long ski slope for intermediate skiers, all serviced by drag lifts.
Uzana site is also famous for its beautiful virgin nature, attracting numerous mountain fans all year round. Development of eco tourism and wellness are the main priorities of the regional administration.

Bulgaria to co-ordinate tourism, secuirty under EU Strategy for Danube region

Bulgaria will promote tourism and oversee security in the Danube area as part of the European Union's strategy for the region, European Commissioner for Regional Policy Johannes Hahn said on February 3 2011.
Hahn named eleven priority areas and the countries and regions that will co-ordinate their implementation by drafting a work programme and identifying financial sources with other states involved and partners such as non-government organisations.
