The number of bio agriculture enterprises has doubled during the past year, announced the deputy minister of agriculture and food Svetlana Boyanova at the opening of the “Green days festival.”

The festival is taking place in front of the National Theatre “Ivan Vazov” in Sofia. For a second year in a row it is dedicated to the healthy way of living, the eco and rural tourism, as well as the responsibility towards nature. Tourism and bio products are exhibited at the festival.

Belogradchik opened the new tourism season during the weekend.

The president of Bulgaria Mr. Georgi Parvanov supports the initiative the tourism sightseeing in the region to be included in the list of important sites of UNESCO.

This was announced by Parvanov in Belogradchik, during the events organized for the official opening of the season in Belogradchik.

The Bulgarian Albena Black Sea resort welcomed its first tourists, as a group of 80 Germans marked the early start of the summer season on Tuesday.

The group will go through balnotherapy, receive massages and other medical procedures for a period of three weeks, representatives of the resort have clarified before the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency.
