Balchik and Albena were prized for tourism movies

Albena took a prize for tourism movies “The eastern coast of Europe”. The movie “Albena – a real paradise” was chosen among 46 movies, shown during the festival “Culture tourism” in Veliko Tarnovo.

The movie “A summer in Balchik” also took a prize for a documentary movie.

Sofia to compete for European culture capital

The initiative committee will support the candidature of Sofia for European culture capital for 2019.

Famous culture, education, business, media and sport activists will support the candidature of Sofia, announced Yordanka Fandakova, quoted by BTV.

“Tsarevgrad Tarnov – sound and light” awarded at tourism exhibition

The audio-visual spectacle “Tsarevgrad Tarnov – sound and light” received a prize for contribution of the development of culture tourism on the International exhibition “Culture tourism 2011” in Veliko Tarnovo.

The award is presented for the 25th anniversary of the spectacle projected and realized by the Bulgarian producer Valo Radev and his Czech colleague Yaromir Hnik.

Bulgaria's Winter Tourism Does Well, More Reliant on Balkan Countries

Bulgaria's winter and ski resorts will seek to attract more and more tourists from the Balkan states, according to experts who took part in a round table in Sofia Monday.

The round table was organized by the Ministry of Economy, Energy, and Tourism, which presented the results from the completed winter tourism season 2010-2011.

Bulgarian tourist information centre was opened in South France

Bulgarian tourist information center called Info Bulgaria was opened in South France. The tourist center is situated in the town of Perpignan which is located close to the French-Spanish border.

Tourists will have the opportunity to receive free of charge information about Bulgarian tourist routes, as well as to book their vacations, Bulgarian language and culture courses.

This is the first opened information center so far from the future network of Bulgarian tourist information...
