Museum of Astronautics to be built in Kamchiya Complex

A Museum of Astronautics will be situated in the future building of a school in the Kamchiya complex, near the city of Varna.

A planetarium, an Aviation and Astronautics Museum and a real simulator will be part of the future school building.

The first dig of the future school building was made as a celebration of the anniversary of the Yuri Gagarin’s first university flight. On 12th of April it will be 50 years since his flight in the cosmos.

Americans and Canadians are the first tourists in Belogradchik

The first tourists who visited the town of Belogradchik this year are Americans and Canadians.

Four groups with more than 100 tourists will arrive in the town until the end of April. Tourists come to Vidin with boats through the Danube river and then take buses to reach Belogradchik.

Bulgaria expects more European tourists in summer 2011

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry expects a rise in European tourists who visit Bulgarian summer resorts. There will be an increase of 15%-18% in Italian tourists in the country during summer 2011, Evelin Videnov the vice president of the chamber said.

Bulgaria registers 50 percent increase in visas for Russian tourists

Bulgaria is expecting a record number of tourist visa applications from Russia for the summer of 2011, according to the Bulgarian Consulate in Moscow.

The Consulate also says it expects the summer season to begin earlier than usual - end of April or beginning of May.

Since January 2011, over 21,000 applications have been filed which is a 50% increase with respect to the same period in 2010 and a 100% increase with respect to 2009.

Monasteries around Sofia connected with cultural route

The first part of the route starts from Buhovo, passes through Kremikovtzi, Podgumer and reaches Kurilo. It includes generally 9 monasteries and 14 churches.

Pedestrian route and bike paths will connect 120 churches and monasteries around Sofia, said Tzvetelina Borislavova from Credo Bonum foundation.
