7 star complex “Thracian Cliffs Golf and Marina and Spa Resort” to be developed between Balchik and Kavarna. The total value of the project exceeds 550 million Euro. The complex will be represented at V.I.P Property Exhibition, which will take place on the 25th and 26th of April in Hilton hotel in Sofia. The buildings in Thracian Cliffs will take only 13% of the total area of the complex.

In December 2008, the hotels’ managers in Pamporovo Resort and the municipalities of Smolyan and Devin started a research of the opinion of the tourists about the hotels and holidays services in the region. It lasted 4 mounts but the number of the filled questionnaires was much smaller than it was expected. Sofia could be a host of the “New 7 wonders” awarding ceremony in 2011. Bulgarian capital was nominated as a host of the spectacular ceremony in the official web site of the contest, www.new7wonders.com.

Meanwhile Belogradchik Rocks got second position in the competition for the new seven wonders, after the Devil’s town in Belgrade. The nominations are in the “Caves, rock formations and valleys” category.

In 5 years, the tourism revenues are expected to reach nearly 8 billion euro.

The aims, set in the strategy will be obtained through mending of the infrastructure and through preservation and improvement of the national tourism resources.
