Bulgaria’s economy is amongst the ones developing fastest, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) administrator Kemal Dervis said.
On April 24 Dervis gave a lecture to students in Sofia University on the topic of social and economic challenges that new EU member states face.

Around 150 000 people visit the spa and balneological centres in Bulgaria every year, the vice chairman of Bulgaria's State Tourism Agency said on Monday.
The bigger number of them are Bulgarians and Bulgarian citizens living abroad, Stanislav Novakov added.
There are more than 800 mineral springs in Bulgaria and 90% of them have strong healing qualities and effect. The sad news is that only 5% of them are used for the purpose, Novakov said.

The Foreign Ministers of the countries members of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) organization will sign a treaty for the building of a highway around the sea.
The cooperation agreement allowing the highway's construction has been signed yesterday in Belgrade, ITAR-TASS has reported.
Once built, the highway will be shaped like a ring around the Black Sea, connecting all the countries in the region.
