2nd Burial for Legendary Bulgarian Tzar 800 Years after Death

The relics of the Bulgaria's Tzar Kaloyan will be buried for a second time in a church the ancient Bulgarian capital Veliko Tarnovo 800 years after his death.

The relics will be put in the gallery of the 40 Holly Martyrs Church, head of the National Historical Museum Bozhidar Dimitrov announced. The funeral will be attended by the President Georgi Parvanov, the Culture Minister Stefan Danailov and other official guests.

Easter Party opens Rafting Season 2007

4 extreme sports clubs, “Adventure net”, “Books and Adventures Organization”, “Fast Waters” and “X club”, organize the official opening of the new rafting season 2007.

The event will take place on the 7th of April along the Stream of Struma River in the region of Kresna gorge. The teams of the 4 clubs will make rafting demonstrations. Hyper Borovets

New ski projects are launched in Samokov region, while “Super Borovets” awaits its start. Hristo Kovachki is the new big investor in the region. Companies close to TIM Ltd also intend to invest in the region.

Samokov and Borovets are quieter, in comparison to Bansko, where new ski, golf and spa projects for hundreds of million BGN are presented every single day.

Summer Season 2007 on the Black Sea has started

A great ceremony held on March 25 marked the beginning of the tourist season for Bulgaria’s southern Black Sea coast.
The ceremony was held at the airport in the city of Bourgas, minutes before the arrival of the first tourists from Denmark who will spend two weeks in Nessebar, near the Slunchev Bryag resort. The predictions are for Bourgas airport to welcome charter flights mainly from Germany, England, Poland, Israel and the Scandinavian countries.

Over 30 co's eye Danube Bridge II infrastructure contract

Over 30 companies are interested in the contract for the construction of the infrastructure in the area of Danube Bridge II, Vidin regional governor Krastio Spasov was quoted as saying Monday by news agency BTA.

The candidate contractors will tour the future construction sites on Tuesday.

The documents for participation in the tender will be on sale until May 21. They should be ready with their offers by the fall, said Spasov.
