Archaeologist finds rare high medieval Bulgarian inscription in monastery

Bulgarian archaeologist Professor Kazimir Popkonstantikov announced Wednesday he has found a thrilling inscription in ancient Bulgarian language at the wall of a stone tomb near the town of Veliki Preslav.

The inscription on the tomb's wall was found during his research of a monastery dated back to the 10th century.

Bulgaria to Become Part of Cruise Tour Programmes

Bulgaria is to be included in the programmes of Black Sea cruise tourism. This was one of the outcomes of the conference Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) on tourism held in Russian Gelendzhik.

The conference was dedicated to the development of tourism infrastructure and resorts in the the Black Sea region and its investment potential, Focus news agency reported.

Bulgarian Folklore Dancers for 10th Time in Japan

"Arsenal" folklore ensemble leaves on two week tour in Japan. From ten years already Bulgarian folk dancers perform concerts in different Japan cities, teaching those who wish to Bulgarian dances.

In the next two weeks the boys and girls from ‘Arsenal' will dance in front of citizens from Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Fukuoka.

They will perform in Asia's biggest sport complex ‘Globul Arena'.

New Finds in Perperikon Attract Tourists

New unique finds at Perperikon attract an increasing number of tourists. After three months of excavations, yesterday Prof. Nikolay Ovcharov officially announced the end of the archaeological summer at the cult site near Kurdjali.

"For these 90 days of intensive work the team has achieved highly interesting results. After three years of hard work the whole western part of the Perperikon acropolis was unearthed, the archaeologist said.
