The Turkish businessman Sudi Ozkan researches the property market in the region. He made that announcement on the official opening of Casino “Star Princess”, which is the second casino from the “Princess” chain in the town and the fifth in Bulgaria.
Sudi Ozkan announced that he had so far invested over 100 million USD in hotels and casinos all over Bulgaria.

Prince Boris I was the first Christian ruler of Bulgaria. He converted Bulgarian nation at the end of IX century and then retire into a monastery. We hadn’t been sure which the monastery that had this honor was till today.

And today, after excavating the basics of a bath and a toilet in the monastery complex Karaach Teke near Varna, archeologista are pretty sure that exactly this was the last home of Prince Boris I.

The construction of a new information centre for 30 000 BGN in the town is coming. And attractive model of Panagyurishte Golden treasure will be included in the theatre exhibition “Bulgaria on a Palm”. The model is sent in sound and light and is already part of the collection of the Historical museum. These initiatives are part of an entire strategy for developing of the region, in which tourism is one of the priorities.

The spiritual-historical centre “St. Paisiy of Hilendar” will open its doors in the autumn in Bansko. Sanctification probably will be on 5th October, when is the Day of the resort. Monks from the Monastery of Zograf are also expected, said the mayor Alexander Kravarov.
At the centre of the town is restored the “St. Ivan Rilski” chapel and the monk cell in the Monastery of Hilendar where Paisiy lived. Paisiy, who were born in Bansko, is the first man of the Bulgarian...
