Bulgarian-German Center to Train Tourism Sector Staff

A Bulgarian-German center was officially opened Monday in the regional, southern city of Smolyan to be used for staff training, mainly for employees working in the tourism sector.

The construction cost is BGN 2.5M. Experts will teach courses such as "Administration and Management," "Hotel, Restaurant Management and Catering," "IT Applications," "Food Technologies," and "Gardening."

The facility includes a dormitory, hotel rooms, practice kitchen, seminar and lecture halls.

Bansko ski zone cash desk to operate with extended working hours

“Ulen” Ltd. will prolong the working ours of the cash desk on the gondola lift in Bansko for the forthcoming winter season 2010/ 2011.

Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday the cash desk will operate until 11.00Pm, to avoid queues in the mornings.

Sea taxis will transport tourists in Bougas

The municipal administration organizes a brand new tourism route from the centre of Bourgas, “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” square, through the sea garden, the sea casino to the fore-bridge. Water buses will carry visitors to the st Anastasia island. The buildings in the island will be restored and a guided tour in the museum will be offered. A new modern restaurant will substitute the small snack bar that used to operate on the site.

Putin expects 500 thousands Russian tourism visits in Bulgaria

500 thousand Russian tourists are expected to visit Bulgaria in 2011. this was announced by www.tourprom.ru, quoting the Russian prime Minister Vladimir Putin. His prognosis is based on this year's data and the good tourism cooperation.

In 2010 the number of Russian tourists will reach 300 thousand. The Russian Prime minister also commented a 50% increase of the stock exchange between the two countries.
