Low cost flights to London and Frankfurt will start operating on Plovdiv airport from this autumn. Ryan air plans to schedule flights to Plovdiv this year.
The company is also considering flights to Dublin and several airports in Italy and Spain, announced Doichin Angelov, executive director of Plovdiv airport.

Plovdiv airport expects to welcome charter flights from UK for the next winter season.

Numerous entertainment opportunities for children and tourists will be constructed in close vicinity to “Baba Vida” fortress.

The municipal council in Vidin will vote the financing of the project for the construction of tourism attractions on the fortification wall in the town.

The project was approved by the ministry of the regional development and is due to be completed by the end of 2011.

Balkan culinary competition called “The taste of the Balkans” will exhibit the best of the national cuisines of Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Montenegro. The event will take place form 30 April – 05 May.
Some of the best chefs in the world will arrive in Bourgas to answer the ultimate question – “which country can offer the most delicious hospitality”.

The mayor of Moscow Yury Luzhkov and Bulgarian Prime Minister Boiko Borisov will officially attend the opening of the Russian children’s vacation complex in Kamchia seside resort in Bulgaria.

The opening ceremony will take place on August 26 2010.

Construction of the Russian vacation complex started in September 2009. Moscow city council invested over 100 billion euro in the project. The construction of a yacht port is another planned part of the vacation complex.
