Flights from Plovdiv to Prague for 1 Euro

At least 5 municipalities have already voted the funds for the development of “Plovdiv airport”, as the southern gate of Bulgaria, announced the regional cousil Mr. Ivan Totev.

Plovdiv airport has announced 50% discount of the airport taxes for two years, which will transform it into an attractive site for low cost air companies.

The head of one of the biggest air companies “Ryan air” - with 63 million passengers annually will arrive in Plovdiv on 17th May.

A Sanctuary of a Persian God Was Opened for Visitors in the Rhodope Mountain

The only sanctuary of a Persian god Mithra in the Rhodope mountain was shown to the attention to the medias”.

The sanctuary is situated in close vicinity to the Greek village Thermes, just 6 km from the Bulgarian border. It was discovered in 1915 by the archaeologists Mr. Bogdan Filov.

Archeology researches were not made in the region. After the opening of the new customs near Zlatograd, the rock sanctuary is now available for visits.

Yahoo! Travel Magazine Ranks Bulgaria among Top 10 Destinations

Bulgaria is among the top 10 most affordable destinations in the world according to the German-language Yahoo! Travel Magazine.

The other countries where Europeans can go a long way with their EUR for a memorable holiday are Malaysia, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Croatia Turkey, Egypt and Hungary.

Meanwhile travel analysts expect that in 2010 the global tourist industry will return to its pre-crisis levels with growing interest towards the event tourism.

Romanian Tourists Flood Bulgaria’s Golden Sands Resort for Easter

Some 20 000 Romanians are spending the Easter holidays in the top Bulgarian Black Sea resort Golden Sands.

The tourists are mostly from Bucharest and have been attracted to the Bulgarian seaside by the competitive all-inclusive packages.

About 70% of the hotels in the Golden Sands resort have opened for the Easter holidays, the BNT reported. Among them, the large hotels are fully booked.

Bulgaria's Dental Tourism Flourishes

Dental tourism is an increasing trend with more and more foreigners who combine a holiday to Bulgaria's Black Sea coast with a visit to the dentist.

Bulgaria, especially the bigger cities along its Black Sea coast, has started to cash in from a growing number of foreigners, the majority of whom Britons and Greeks, who cannot get treatment on the NHS or cannot afford to pay huge bills for going private, doctors say.
