Bulgaria among the most inexpensive tourism destinations

The Sun ranks Bulgaria in ninth place among top 10 value places. According to the newspaper Bulgaria offers cheap food and drink and good value lodgings, but the infrastructure is on an initial stage of development.

Spain is ranked first because of weak euro and low prices, Turkey is second and Morocco is third.

The Sun includes in the chart also USA, Tunisia, Iceland, Egypt and Portugal. Kenya ranks at 10th place after Bulgaria.

Increased number of Russian and Israeli tourists in Bulgaria’s southern coastal region

Russian tourists visited Bulgaria' s southern coastal region in 2010 increased 40.64 percent compared to 2009. The number of Israeli tourists increased considerably with 86.1 percent in comparison to 2009. The chairman of Bourgas Regional Tourist Chamber (BRTC) Ivan Ivanov announced the data as quoted by Radio Focus-Bourgas.

BRTC registers increase in visitors from Belarus (with 38.15 percent), Ukraine (34.98 percent), Poland (21.19 percent) and Czech Republic (5.82 percent).

Razlog municipality will manage the ski slope Kulinoto

Razlog municipality will take up the management of ski slope Kulinoto near the town. Thus the municipality will be the sole owner of the ski zone.

The municipality plans to refurbish the equipment on the ski slope and to undergo a complete prophylactics of the site.

The mayor of Razlog stated, that the ski slope will be opened for tourists during the season.

Bansko awaits Russion guests

Bansko ski resort in the Pirin mountain in Bulgaria expects numerous tourists from Russia. By tradition Russian tourists arrive in the Bulgarian mountain resort after the New Year holidays.
"Their vacation starts on January 5 and the good thing is there are no more canceled flights from Russia," Irina Nikulchina - director of Bansko Tourist Association said. Bulgarian Government Invests in Promotion Souvenirs

A wide range of little souvenirs are to be launched by Bulgaria's government in order to increase the foreign interest in the country as a touristic destination.

The total price of the project is estimated at BGN 1.4 M.

Some 5000 t-shirts worth a total of BGN 75 000, 3000 beach towels for BGN 45 000, 500 special thermo cups decorated with scenes from the country's image video for BGN 7 500 -these are some of the items the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy Energy and Tourism plans to launch in...
