Borovets ski resort will host the traditional ski competition for the “Borosport” cup. The competition is international event and is included in the calendar of the Ski federation. Organizers are the Bulgarian ski federation and the ski concessionary in Borovets “Borosport”.

The starts will take place on “Popangelov” ski slope (the ex Yastrebets 2) and the program included slalom and giant slalom for both men and women.

Bourgas municipality will include the sea casino in the local tours of the tour operators. The famous Panagurishte treasure will be exhibited in Bourgas.

The National Histoy Museom of Bulgaria requires special exhibition criteria to provide the treasure for public exhibit. The organizers will have to supply a constant temperature in the exhibition room, as well as special security measurements.

The Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism is organizing Bulgaria’s participation in tourism exhibitions MATKA in Finland and SLOVAKIATOUR in Slovakia. The exhibitions are taking place from 20th to 23rd January.

MATKA is the biggest exhibition in North Europe and Baltic states. Over 1200 exhibitors from 73 countries participated in the fair in 2010 and the visitors were 81 500. Bulgaria is participating for 12th time.

From January 20 2011 low cost aviation company Germanwings and its parent company Lufthansa will combine flights. The deal enables customers to book an outward flight with Lufthansa and a return flight with Germanwings.

Passengers will be able to benefit from a selection of flights.

The cooperation between Germanwings and Lufthansa is the second step in an intensive sales collaboration which began in September 2010.

The Bulgarian town of Smolyan and Greek’s Avdira will develop a common project for biodiversity and tourism, Radio Focus-Smolyan reported.

The Program of the European Territorial Cooperation Bulgaria – Greece will finance the project, which costs 1 159 043 euro.

According to the project, the two protected areas near Smolyan and Vistonida lake near Avdira municipality will recover its tourism potential. The areas and Vistonida lake are place for many rare animals and plants.
