Thin Lizzy, Emblems of Hard Rock, Arrive in Sofia

The Opening of “Sofia Dance Week” Fest was on Sunday

“Sofia Dance Week” is the first international festival of the modern dance in Bulgaria. It will start on 22th September and will end up on 29th September. The participants in the fertival program are some of the most popular world-known dance formations.

DJ Tiesto to Electrify Bulgarian Fans Once Again

World famous DJ Tiesto is coming to Bulgaria for a second time to stage a unique show on September 17 in Sofia's Festivalna Hall.

The mega party is part of Tiesto's In Search of Sunrise Summer Tour 2008 and promises to be one of the greatest dance events in September.

Bulgaria Celebrated National Day of Tourism

Bulgaria celebrated on Sunday the National Day of Tourism, which is traditionally held on the last day of August and is dedicated to the first organized and mass climbing of Cherni Vruh ("The Black Peak") in Vitosha Mountain near Sofia.

The first mass climbing took place on August 27, 1985 after the famous Bulgarian writer Aleko Konstantinov published his article and invitation under the title "To the Sofia Lovers of Bulgarian Nature."

Stone Clock from the First Bulgarian Kingdom Discovered

Bulgarian citizens have accidentally come across two stone blocks near a Proto-Bulgarian fortress near Mogila village, Kaspichan municipality. The fortress is a part of the system, constructed for the defense of the capital Pliska. It closely resembles the Madara fortress, but is considerably smaller.

At the initial investigation enormous treasure-hunter decays can be seen, reaching a depth of 4 meters. Up to this moment no regular archeological studies have been carried out, but just on-foot...
