The national opera and ballet opens its 100 season with the super production “Turandot” by Djakomo Puccini during the festival “Scene of Centuries” on the “Tsarevets” hill in Veliko Tarnovo. The play by Puccini is directed by Plamen Kartalov.
The event is being restored after 23 years break, right on the eve of the celebrations for the 100 year anniversary from the announcement of the Independence of Bulgaria.

The renovated exposition in the Varna Regional History Museum presents “Ancient Odessos” (Odessos was the ancient name of the city.) in a brand new way that purpose is to usher the visitors in the ancient history. A unique section of a restored ancient ship welcomes the visitors and shows them the sea road and the way the navigators of Odessos carried over wine, olives, fragrance and oil through amphoras.

17 September, Sofia Day, is coming closer and it is time to check out the progress of the young talents in classic music. They will show pure genius on this year's Young Music Talents Festival which this time is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Marin Goleminov. Most performers were born in the 1980s and 1990s; the smallest is 12-year old piano magician Kalia Kalcheva. All concerts are in Bulgaria Hall, 14th - 21st September.

A tourist center for the cost of 2.4 M euro will be built by the archaeological Thracian complex Perperikon. A public procurement is open to select a company to carry out the construction. The idea is to make the historic heritage more diverse and to support the development of tourism at the border Bulgarian-Greek region in the east Rodopes.
