17 rural tourism projects win funding

Seventeen projects to develop rural tourism have been approved to receive financing under the Rural Development Programme, state-run Agriculture Fund said on Monday. The bulk of the projects involve construction of family hotels and guesthouses. The entire financing amounts to BGN 4.8 million. Rural tourism and renewable energy projects make up the largest number of applications submitted for financing under the programme for non-agriculture activities.

Increasing number of foreign tourists to the Bulgarian mineral baths

Tourists from Germany, Spain, Denmark are flocking in the spa resorts in Bulgaria. 187 from the health funds in Germany have applied for cooperation with the Bulgarian balneology resorts.

The health insurance funds have signed contracts and continue negotiating for healing procedures for their clients for September and October, announced by the Alliance of the Balneology medics in Bulgaria.

The biggest interest is towards the mud baths in Pomorie. The foreign funds prefer to send...

M Tel Golf Masters

Pirin Golf & Country club hosted the first of the summer tournaments M Tel Golf Masters. Most of the enthusiastic participants arrived in the complex on Friday and started preparing for the tournament on the training field.

84 Bulgarian and foreign golf players participated in the unique tournament, as well as representatives of the diplomatic missions in Bulgaria. Among the guests of the event were the Koreian ambassador Bee-Ho Chun, the Slovakian ambassador Karol Mistrik and the Japanease...

Borovets is the Host of Rally Bulgaria 2010 – Round of the WRC

Borovets is once again the host of Rally Bulgaria, making its debut as a round of the World Rally Championship (WRC) this year.

The competition will last for three days – from the 9th to the 11th of July 2010. The Rally has a total length of 1068.30 km with 14 Special Stages (353.34 km) all in asphalt.

The opening ceremony will take place on the 8th of July at 20:00. Krum Donchev and Yasen Popov are invited to do the honours and cut the ceremonial ribbon. The two pilots finished first and...
