Rila monastery, Bachkovo and Troyan monasteries are the sites that attract the most foreign tourists in Bulgaria, said Nikolai Mindov, chairperson of Association of Bulgarian Tour Guides.

Ancient Roman ruins near Varna and Plovdiv, along with preserved architectural reserves like Bozhentsi, Arbanasi and Zheravna, are perceived as magnets for most foreign tourists who visit Bulgaria during the summer.

The Bulgarian air force marked 100 years anniversary with a spectacular air show at the Graf Ignatievo Air Force Base.
Demonstration group of the USA Air Force the “Thunderbirds” entertained guests and residents of Plovdiv at the Graf Ignatievo airport.

The air show started with parachute jumps. They were followed by a breathtaking demonstration, performed by the “Thunderbirds”. Six airplanes F16 showed thrilling aerobatic maneuvers and fairly deserved the laud applause of the audience....

The first Realistic 3D-Projection on a building will be shown to all guests and inhabitants of Sofia.

On Friday the 24th of June 2011 and Saturday the 25th of June 2011, LG Electronics and MP-Studio will introduce a large-scale commercial 3D-Outdoor projection in Bulgaria, at the “Ivan Vazov” National Theatre in Sofia.

The spectacular show starts at 9.30 pm.

This unique 3D-Projection will take place for the first time in Bulgaria.

Bulgaria offers the best prices for vacations in the EU this summer, according to Blagoy Ragin, head of the Bulgarian Association of Restaurant and Hotel Owners.

The Bulgarian tourist business expects at least 10% more foreign tourists in 2011 compared with 2010, Ragin told the Cross news agency.

The head of the Restaurant and Hotel Owners' Association stressed that Bulgaria's tourist sector is looking forward to the completion of the Trakiya Highway (expected in 2012) – connecting Sofia...

The second golf tournament “Diplomats and business friends” took place on 18th June in Pirin Golf and Country Club.

The golfers had the chance to compete on 18 holes. The event was officially opened by the ambassadors of Slovakia and Germany, who are among the initiators of the golf tournament.
