Kyustendil voted top Spa destination in Bulgaria

The western Bulgarian city of Kyustendil was voted "Most dynamically Developing SPA destination" at the second edition of the annual "Spa Nominations" ceremony.

The event was held at the Kempinski-Zografski hotel in Sofia.

In 2010, the town of Sandanski was declared "Best SPA destination" in the country, after Velingrad withdrew from the competition in a bid to stimulate other towns famous for...

Medieval Gold Treasure to be exposed in Nessebar

The exhibition "Medieval Gold Treasure of Nessebar” will be officially opened today at 05:30 PM in the Archaeological Museum in Nessebar.

Visitors can see two necklaces, two medallions, one pendant, five bracelets and six rings. All of them made of gold with a total weight of 275 grams.

Golden Treasure will be exposed for three months in the Archaeological Museum in Nessebar.

WWF photo exhibitions opened in Sofia

Exhibitions of photographs from the lower Danube and the underwater world opened this week in Sofia. They are relieve with the work of the world environmental organization WWF for Bulgarian Nature protection.

“Danube – the true river” - photo exhibition opened on June, 8. It includes 30 photos of six artists from Bulgaria, Romania, Austria and France.

Bulgaria forecasts 10% growth in foreign tourists' number

The increase of the number of foreign holidaymakers during the summer season is expected to be about 10%, the Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism, Traicho Traikov, told journalists Saturday.

Russian tourists would contribute the most to the increase with 30% more compared to previous seasons. The positive trend is to include both mass and alternative forms of tourism – culture, country, wine, SPA, and religious one.

Strandja Natural Park offered hiking with professional guides

Direction of Natural Park Strandja organized tour guide on the tourist route "In Search of the Golden Fleece" on 11, 18 and 25 of June.

The route is four hours and include one hour lunch break. The starting point is in the center of the Kondolovo village.
