Six lifeguards will patrol along the stripe of the popular Bourgas beach from 10 PM on 31st of July to 7 o’clock AM on the next morning.

The concessionary of ‘”Bourgas North” will take care of the safety of everyone who will welcome the sun rise on the coastline. August 7 2007 is considered to be a lucky day, which affected the decision of various couples willing to get married.

Sofia will witness the weddings of 170 couples on that date.

All possible civil marriage timeslots have already been booked. A maximum of few more couples will be given the chance to get married on July 7.

Similar developments occurred for the date 06.06.2006. This year, however, the number of weddings on July 7 is expected to be significantly bigger.

Bulgarian villages will receive additional funding of 10.5 million leva from the SAPARD programme aimed at infrastructure renovation.

Infrastructure projects to apply for SAPARD funding have to evaluated at up to 100 000 leva, state agriculture fund head Dimitar Tadarukov said as quoted by Focus news agency.

The requirement will allow more than 100 Bulgarian municipalities improve their infrastructure within the next three months, Tadarukov said.

Nearly 250 million euro have been invested in the Bulgarian Black Sea resort of Golden Sands in the past six years.

The resort will mark its 50th anniversary with a number of festivals, investor.bg reported.

Money has been invested mainly in hotel construction and the setting up of luxurious vacation complexes in the resort.

The number of hotels there was only eight in 1957. Now their number exceeds 90. Almost 80 per cent of the beds have already been booked.

Fire dancing, a ritual having its roots in the Bulgarian Strandzha Mountain, was revived in the centre of Sofia as part of a campaign to protect the mountain area, which is a state natural park.

A coalition of 17 eco activist organizations organized the event, making it a symbolic summoning of the Supreme Administrative Court so that the magistrates focus their attention on the protection of the national park from destruction.
