Bulgaria's Biggest Yacht Port Opened

Passengers, who prefer to use the most pleasant means of transport - the yacht - now have the opportunity to enter Bulgaria through the seaside resort of Saint Vlas.

This became possible after the inauguration of the country's first private and biggest yacht port "Marina-Dinevi" on Sunday.

Bulgaria's Razgrad to Develop Tourism Zone

The town of Razgrad plans to develop its own tourism zone, the construction of which will cost nearly 300 000 euro.

The zone will include 14 tourism routes with total length of 46km, eight walking routes, two bicycle paths and two horse riding routes, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported.

Deputy Regional Development Minister Dimcho Mihalevski will launch work on the zone on June 22.

First Day of Explorations in Vratsa Brings important Find

During their first day of exploration in the Vratsa region, archaeologists found an important artifact.

The team of Nartsis Torbov found a silver Roman coin, dating back to the first century BC.

Finding such item during the first day of work confirmed the archaeologists’ theory that Vratsa existed before Slavic tribes settled there.

Rila Monastery Opens Renovated Museum

Rila Monastery will open its renovated ecclesiastical and historical museum on June 23, 2007 at 5.30 pm, the organizers announced for FOCUS News Agency.

The museum was closed for eight months, in which the exposition was enriched and underwent some improvements.
Many of the expositions have been restored and conserved. Museum visitors will see unique church garments and belongings for the first time ever.
