Medical treatment at the Magoura cave

A joint project of allergy doctors, the Ministry of Public Health and the Municipality of Belogradchik will be run at the Magoura Cave, 180 km to the northwest from the capital Sofia and 17 km from the town of Belogradchik. The project will seek to provide a so-called speleo-treatment to bronchial asthma patients.

Rock Marathon to Shake Bulgaria's Rila Mountain

The Rock Marathon concert in Rila will be staged in for fifth consecutive year.

The event, which will be held in the village of Beli Iskar near Borovets mountain resort, will begin on August 24 and end on August 25 2007, Focus news agency reported.

Local celebrities like Signal, Gravity Co, PIF, Konkurent. Vasko Krupkata and Vili Kavaldjiev will take part in the concert. A country music group will also play for the fans at the event.

Archeologists Find Fragments of Ancient Tomb near Bulgaria's Sliven

Bulgarian archaeologists led by famous archaeologist Georgi Kitov found fragments of an ancient tomb near the village of Kaloyanovo in the region of Sliven.

Archaeologist Iordanka Radancheva said that the archaeological expedition found elements from the wall plaster covered with pictures very similar to those in the tomb in Kazanlak.

So far more than ten tombs have been explored by Kitov’s expedition Temp, Bulgarian National Radio said.

Belogradchik Fortress Attracts More&More Tourists

Approximately 5000 tourists more have visited Belogradchik in the first half of 2007 compared to the same period in 2006.

This is a nearly double increase of the tourist flow compared to last year.

Till 22 August the historic masterpiece “Belogradchik Fortress” and the Belogradchik rocks are visited by 23 037 tourists, of whom 3 631 are foreigners. In 2006, the tourists exploring the place were 18 014.

Golf Resorts in Bulgaria Attract Investors & Property Buyers

Golf is a favorite game for many people in Europe and this is proved by the fact that only in Scotland, Spain and France there are over 500 golf courses each.
Comparing this data with the situation in Bulgaria, we can indicate the availability of only three fully completed and going golf courses.
