Bulgarian Archaeologists Unearth 2,500-Years-Old Tomb

Archaeologists from the Bulgaria's National History Museum have unearthed a tomb of a citizen, who lived in the ancient city of Apollonia, which is today's Black Sea town of Sozopol.

The team of Krastina Panayotova is working on the Harmani beach of Sozopol, a site which archaeologist have been exploring for many years now. During regular excavations Panayotova's team stumbled upon the tomb.

Sofia Hosts Fashion TV's Еuromodel World 2007

Fashion TV will lead a casting for the international competition ‘Еuromodel World 2007' that will take place in Bulgaria's capital in October, 2007.
The competition will be organized by ‘Euromodels' agency. The beauty participants will be winners of prestigious titles like: Queen of the world, Miss Beauty, Miss Asia TV, Miss Europe Junior and many more.

Members of the jury will be producers from Fashion TV, most probably Morgan Freeman and the Hollywood producer Randall Emmett.

Golf in Bulgaria – Twice Cheaper Than Abroad

According to Bulgarian golf players and members of the golf association, at the moment playing golf in Bulgaria is still twice cheaper than abroad.

A game at the Sofia playground “Ravno pole” is 50 BGN (25EUR)and the trolley rent is 20 BGN (10EUR).

In Greece those who are not members of the golf club on which playground they play, the game will cost then 70EUR and the trolley 20 EUR.

The Mysterious Mounds in Bulgaria

Japanese Government Sponsoring Construction of Thracian Art Museum In Bulgaria

Foreign Minister Ivailo Kalfin will sign an agreement with Japanese ambassador to Bulgaria Koichiro Fukui on a grant from the Japanese government of close to two million euro.

The funds will be used to set up a museum of Thracian art found in the eastern Rhodope Mountains.

The joint project by the Culture Ministry, Haskovo municipality and Japan envisions the construction of a modern museum near the Thracian tomb in the village of Alexandrovo, the Foreign Ministry said, as quoted by Focus...
