Double Deckers launched in Plovdiv

Double-Deckers will be launched in Plovdiv in about 10 days. The busses will be like the ones in London, but they are bought from Berlin.
In the beginning the busses will be attractional and will only advertise the famous Plovdiv sightseeing spots.
The double-deckers will be launched on №29 route and will have 120 places - 70 of them will be seating places. So far in Bulgaria there are double-deckers only in Varna.

Sixteen-century-old Wine Buried in Perperikon

During the excavation of a big settlement of Perpericon from the time of the Roman Empire, archeologists ran into traces of wine, sixteen centuries old. The residues were discovered in four huge terracotta pythoses, which must have been full of wine when buried under the debris. The archeologists date the wine containers judging by the coins and the others finds dated the 3rd or 4th cent. AD, when the rock settlement had its second renaissance. New Archeological Treasures Found in Bulgaria's Kaliakra

Archeological expedition found a rich medieval tomb in the Kaliakra fortress, on the Kaliakra cape at the Black Sea coast on August 14 2007.

The tomb was that of a young woman whose head was decorated with a magnificent ornament, Focus news agency reported.

The ornament was made of silver applications with gilt, sewn-on material interwoven with gold.

Archaeologists found an earring of tortuous bronze wire close to the skull, as well as a bronze ring.

Foreign Tourists Throng at King Seuthos III Tomb near Shipka

About a thousand of foreign tourists gather every day to admire the tomb of the ancient Thracian ruler King Seuthes III, near Shipka, Kazanlak region, reported Iskra History Museum.

The interest to the UNESCO-listed historical place is constantly growing. Set against 3000 visitors in 2006 the number has exceeded 19 000 visitors this year. The tomb was discovered in August 2004 by a team of archaeologists headed by Georgi Kitov.

Sozopol Implements a System for Quality Control of the Environment

Sozopol Municipal started is preparing to implement a certification of integrated system for environment quality management. The innovation will cover the requirements of the International standards ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004.

The first one is a list of rules, providing high quality service for the clients. The second one will answer the requirements for stable indexes for environmental protection.
