Syrian businessman Aladin Harfan has won an auction for a municipal plot in Kardjali. His company Aladin said it will invest 38 mln levs to develop the site into a shopping mall. The project should be completed within 3 years of the granting of the building permit. Aladin is currently selecting an international advisor to implement the project. The company is also building a shopping mall in the city of Pleven.

The sale of yachts and boats has increased and records a 1000 % growth compared to last year numbers, the manager of Venid Yacht, Mr. Georgi Mihov stated at the second yacht expo, which took place in St. Vlas this week. Anyway, only about 1 percent from the Bulgarians own yachts, while in Europe this number is much higher. In the Scandinavian countries, for example, 90 % of the population owns boats.
Until this year most of the Bulgarians have been bying second-hand yachts from Turkey...

One of the most exotic cactuses in Balchik Botanical garden is covered with blossom in the heat of the tourist season.
To the greatest regret, the beauty of Trichocereus will rejoice only a few of the resort's guests because its flowers wither in less than 24 hours, explained Ina Mancheva, the garden's director. She reminded that their collection of cactusses was the second largest in Europe.

The much-anticipated expansion of Bulgarian ski resort Borovets, dubbed the Super Borovets project, is set to finally get underway in early October this year with the construction of a lift connecting the city of Samokov with the Markudjik ski runs.
