“Yogurt Fair” Starts in Razgrad

The yogurt fair and festival of the national traditions and art crafts will take place from 23 until 25th July in the heart of the Ludogorie – Rzgrad. The program of the fair includes a baton “Make tarator not terror”, competirion “Queen of the fair”, concerts, and dancing shows from 15 countries.

The fair was presented as one of the opportunities for alternative tourism for citizens and guests from Varna.

Dark Centuries in the Rocks

The Aladja rock monastery near Varna hosts exhibition of 14 icons from the Regional History Museum in Kardjali.

The icons date back from 16 – 18th centuries and exhibit part of the rich history of the eastern part of the Rhodope Mountain. The exhibition is opened for visitors until 15th September.

The valuable antiques are from the “St. Atanassi” Church in Byalopolyane village and from “St. George” church in Drabishna village.

Free Eco Fest in the Rhodopi Mountains

A brand new festival for music, sports and active way of living is organized in the Rhodopi mountains in Bulgaria from August 7 to August 10, reports Gorichka.bg.

"Beglika Fest" is an initiative of several ecological and sports organizations. The entrance is free, but everyone, willing to buy a special shirt-ticket (11.99 leva/ approximately 6 EU) will help the preservation of the wood-grouse capercalzie (cock of the woods) - species, whose habitat in the region is threatened by extinction....

The Temple of Cybele can be completely restored

The temple of Cybele in Balchik can be completely renewed and will receive a status of a monument of world significance, if the archaeologists have the opportunity to study the western wall of the antique building, announced the head of the History Museum in Balchik, Radostina Encheva for BTA. She added that the western part of the site stands under the foundations of a hotel which is now being constructed and the archaeology studies have ceased.
