90% of the tourists along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast prefer seafood, Yonko Dyakov, member of the Managing Board of the Bulgarian Chefs’ Association, said.

Many restaurants buy fish directly from local fishermen so that they could be certain the fish is fresh. Some restaurants even have window displays of living fish to assure their clients the food is cooked with fresh fish.

“Priests of Muse” International Festival of Arts 2008

From 20 Aug to 30 Aug the Black Sea resort of Tsarevo will host the International Fest of Arts, named ”Priests of Muse”. The festival will gather young actors, artists, musicians and dancers from all over Bulgaria and abroad.
The festival will be held for third year and will not have a competitive character.

Bulgaria to be Divided into 8 Tourism Regions

Bulgaria's State Tourism Agency has selected the principle that will be used to zone the country in different tourism regions. The zones will be marketed abroad as separate destinations.
Each of the eight regions - Sofia, Rila-Pirin, Rhodpes, Thrace, Black Sea, Old Balkan Capitals, Balkan Range and Danube, will have to appoint by this fall a representative that will come into line with the agency.

Setback for transfer of airport area site to Plovdiv fair

The site in the area of the Sofia International Airport that was eyed by the Plovdiv International Fair is classified as green area and any title transfer will first have to be approved by the chief architect of the city, Petar Dikov, it emerged at a government meeting on Thursday.

At the same meeting, the government gave the go-ahead to transfer the site from the assets of the transport ministry to those of the economy ministry.

Dikov could not be reached for comment on Thursday....

Record Number of Tourists at the Pool Beaches of Hissar Spa Resort

The tourist flow in Hissar Spa Resort is very high this season, many hotel managers stated these days.
The guests mainly come to use the swimming pools of Hissar – 7 outdoor and 4 indoor pools.
