Nature 2000's conservation network will contain more areas in Lomovete and western Rhodopes and additional four territories will be added to protected areas, so that it will embrace 34 per cent of the country's territory.

The four new zones will be for protection of wild birds: Pirin buffer, Central Balkan buffer, Bulgarka and Rila monastery.

The first tournament M-tel Golf Masters for 2011 will be held at the Pirin Golf and Country club on 28th May 2011. The attractive prizes attracted a record number of golfers.

Over 120 golfers will compete in the tournament, which will start on May 28th at 8.00 o'clock. Bulgarian and foreign golfers with official handicap will have the right to take part in the tournament.

A new edition of the Red Book of Bulgaria will come out in the Internet within a month’s time, said Vulko Bisserkov, director of the Central Laboratory on General Ecology with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences /BAS/.

The new edition contains information on the extinct and disappearing and threatened with extinction habitats, mushrooms, vegetal and animal species.

The paper edition of the publication will be ready not earlier than 2012.

Festival of contemporary Bulgarian cinema will be held in Odessa, Ukraine, from 23 to 27 May 2011.

This year, viewers will see 8 contemporary Bulgarian movies, most of which have received awards at prestigious international film festivals. The movies are translated into Russian.

The main organizers of the event are Bulgarian National Film Centre, Bulgarian Association in Ukraine, The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Ukraine, etc.
