“Etara” Architecture Ensemble near Gabrovo will hots a Crafts\' Fair

60 masters from all over Bulgaria will participate in the International Fair of the National crafts, which will be held in Architecture- ethnography museum “Etar” in Gabrovo, from 03 – 06th September.

The craftsmen will present special techniques in pottery, knife making, carving, weaving, knitting and etc.

Guests from Italy, Scotland, Romania, morocco and Japan will also demonstrate traditional crafts for their regions.
The program also includes folklore performances.

Lyaskovets will become “Colourful Vegetable Capital“

Carving fest “Lyaskovets – colourful vegetables capital” will popularize the town, as a centre for vegetables growing.
The project will be financed by operation program “Regional development”. It will cost 485 000 BGN and will be completed in 20 months.
A festival scene “Kingdom of the vegetables” will be constructed near the museum of gardening. The festival zone will show vegetables market and art ateliers.

International Fair of traditional crafts "Etar", Gabrovo

The 9th edition of the International Fair of traditional crafts will be held from 03 – 06 September 2011 at the Architectural Ethnographic Complex "Etar" near the Bulgarian town of Gabrovo.

Over 75 craft masters will demonstrate their mastership. There will be participants not only from Bulgaria, but also from Romania, Morocco, Italy, Scotland, Great Britain, Japan.

You will be able to see numerous different crafts:
- pottery-making, cowbell-making, cutlery, carpet industry, coppersmith’s...

Sofia airport services 336,500 passengers in July

In July Sofia Airport serviced 336,000 passengers – by 9400 more year-on-year, accounting for a 3 percent growth.

Traffic along regular international lines grew by the same percentage reaching 305,000 passengers during the month.

The most passengers flew with flights run by Bulgaria Air, Wizz Air and Lufthansa Group. They have increased the number of their weekly flights to Sofia.

25,000 passengers were serviced in domestic flights, meaning a 53 percent growth year-on-year.

Aviation show to mark Bulgarian aviation centenary

On the occasion of the centenary of the Bulgarian aviation, from 2 to 4 September Bulgaria’s second largest city Plovdiv is hosting an aviation show at three stages – past, present and future.

The stage of the past will include a retro parade showing the earliest aircraft used by the Bulgarian army.

At the stage of the present the Bulgarian Air Force will present its program as well as the Pilatus Group from Switzerland.
