Tourists to plant oak trees along Black Sea coast

A project by the State Forestry Management in Balchik in Northeastern Bulgaria envisages the restoration of some 11.5 ha of oak forests along the Black Sea coast in the valley of the Batova River not far from the famous resort of Albena.

The venture is co-funded by the Life + programme of the European Union.

International Agro Expo in Dobrich

Bulgaria welcomes more tourists

The increase of the number of tourists is expected to reach 14%.
The national tourism board announced an increase in the number of tourists, visited Bulgaria.
The tourism revenue is expected to be 4,5 % higher.
Experts forecast that the tourism revenue might reach 2.7 milliard Euro.

Bulgaria marks 116 year “Organized tourism movement” anniversary

Over 3000 tourists visited mount Cherni Vrah for the 116 year anniversary of the foundation of “Organized tourism movement” in Bulgaria, this was announced by the head of the tourism union.

The firs organized climbing of mount Cherni Vrah was held in 1895 with 297 participants. It was an initiative of the famous writer Aleko Konstantinov.

Bulgarian-Romanian project to develop ecotourism in the region of Danube

Bulgarian Municipality Vetovo and Romanian municipality Gostinu start a joint project of ecotourism.

Cross-border project Ecotourism: prospects for development of two small communities, provides the construction of a bikeway from Pisanets village to Vetovo and construction of а cultural and tourist information centers in both communities and beach band of the Danube near Gostinu.
