Bulgaria features on the top 10 of destinations for adventure tourism among emerging markets, a survey of George Washington University in Washington DC has found.

Slovakia ranks first among the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Bulgaria is sixth.

The chart has been based on criteria including sustainable development, safety, nature resources, resources for adventure activities, infrastructure and the way the country is accepted in the world.

The main focus of the pilot project "Dolj - Vidin" is to present all the traditional crafts of Vidin region and the Romanian town of Dolj.

The project plans to donate 2000 guides with information about crafts and tourist attractions to the embassies, partners of the Bulgarian Economic Forum, travel agencies.

7 countries and 16 organizations are involved in the project and will present their traditional crafts on exhibitions and conferences.

Vacations in Bulgaria are very popular among the tourists from UK this year, as one of the main reasons are the excellent hotels.

UK citizens can enjoy 5-star luxury, excellent food and excellent Black Sea beaches.


British tourists also prefer destinations in Spain, Greece, and Turkey, but Bulgaria is an attractive option that gains popularity.

This year the best music festival in Bulgaria will again take place on the beach in Bourgas.
The Spirit of Bourgas will happen in Burgas for the 4th time on 12, 13 and 14th of August 2011.

Vidin hosts an International Art Workshop “Vidin palette”. The planner is organized by the “Vida Art” foundation and will take place in two parts – from 01 until 14th august and from 01 - 14th September.

Local artists and painters from St. Petersburg, Alma Ata, Kazakhstan will participate in the event. The organizers have planned six tours to different sites in the region, where the young artists will look for inspiration – the views by the Danuve river, Baba Vida castle, the museums in...
