Orpheus Promotes Bulgaria in Switzerland

Orpheus will be Bulgaria's "poster face" at a tourism fair in Switzerland. Leading archeologist Prof Nikolay Ovcharov will present the most interesting finds from Haskovo and Kardjali, southeastern Bulgaria. Both regions will take part in the fair under the motto "Bulgaria - the sacred land of Orpheus". Over 1600 exhibitors are expected to take part in the forum that will be attended by over 80 000 visitors.

Pamporovo Resort in Bulgaria to Open Season with New Ski Runs

Pamporovo mountain resort will open the new summer season with two new ski runs and a new lift.

The runs will slope down from Snejanka to the village of Stoikite. The new lift will start from the centre of the village to Studenets chalet.

Testing of the facilities began on October 1 2007, the resort manager Pamporovo AD said. All main parts of the lifts were being replaced.

The ski runs were cleaned and re-cultivated, Focus news agency reported.

The New Skiing Season in Bansko

The new skiing season in Bulgaria is about to begin earlier this year. Meteorologists forecast heavy snowfall from November which promises a great ski season from the beginning of December.

Bansko mountain resort will surprise its guests with new facilities and 65 km perfectly maintained ski and snowboard slopes. This season all tourists can enjoy %RIMG5unforgettable moments on the cross - country tracks.

Veliko Turnovo Destination Number 1 in Bulgaria

Veliko Turnovo is the most desired destination of this year, said Blagoi Ragin, chairman of the Bulgarian Hotel& Restaurant Association.

The city is former Bulgarian capital, one of the oldest settlements in Bulgaria, having a history of more than 5 millennia.

This year Turnovo achieved 30% raise of tourism, which no other Bulgarian city can praise with.

There was a celebration of the 4- year cooperation of BHRA with Veliko Turnovo Municipality.

Dobrinishte skiing zone project kicks off

The Orbel Development company has announced the start of a project for the construction of a ski zone in Bansko area resort Dobrinishte.

Orbel Development, a partnership between construction company Galchev Engineering Group and Austria's Norema Tourist Holding Company, won a procedure invited by the Bansko municipality to select an investor for the development of the site.
