Bulgaria's Dobrinishte Ski Zone Project Kicks Off

Orbel Development AD, the company to build and complete the Dobrinishte Ski Zone project, hailed on October 18 in Dobrinishte the start of the project, Dnevnik business daily reported on October 19 2007.

The company, a joint venture between Austria's Norema tourist holding and Bulgarian developer Galchev Engineering Group, had procured all regulatory nods.

Orbel has been registered as a company as of September 26 2007.

Pomorie area golf resort to go

No part of the land earmarked by Cabland, a joint venture between the Pomorie municipality and NGB Consulting, for a golf development in the coastal city of Kableshkovo has been included in the Natura 2000 network of protected sites.

The favorable development gives the investor the opportunity to break ground on Wednesday for the 194 mln euro resort.

The Black Sea Golf&Country Club will sprawl on 190 ha some 10 km from Pomorie and will boast a 4-star hotel, tennis courts, swimming pools...

Bulgaria Suggests Common Attractive Image of the Black Sea Region

The Bulgarian representative put forward the idea for the creation of a single image of the Black Sea region as an attractive tourist destination, on a meeting of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), announced the Bulgarian State Tourism Agency.
The forum is taking place in Istanbul on 17 and 18 October 2007, under the chairmanship of Turkey.

Airport Expansion Wins top Investment Certificate

Fraport Twin Star Airport Management, a Fraport AG company, has received a First Class Investor certificate from Bulgaria's investment promotion authority for its project for the expansion of the Burgas airport which it operates under a concession arrangement. The company, which also operates the local Varna airport, will phase an investment of 49.6 mln euro through '09, including 32 mln euro slated for a new passenger terminal. Power Centres to Develop Small Bulgarian Towns

New kind of trade complexes will be build in 12 towns in Bulgaria, informed money.bg. This will contribute for decrease of the unemployment.
The project is elaborated by Israeli company with Bulgarian participation of ‘Melina'. The chief of the company Yakov Niv, explained that the Power centers look like 1-floor trade objects, situated on 3 km away from towns.

Its distinctive features will include big parking lots, which envelop more than 70% of the built territory, supermarkets, furniture...
