Sofia Music Jam Attracts Chick Corea, Bela Fleck and Jon Anderson to Bulgaria

Sofia Music Jam 2007 will present to Bulgarian public pianist Chick Corea, banjo player Bela Fleck and Jon Anderson, former lead singer of the UK’s progressive rock band Yes.

Corea and Fleck are the first headliners of the festival. Their concert will be held in Hall 1 in the National palace of Culture on November 6 2007.

Tickets for the show are on sale since October 10 2007 at 30 to 60 leva.

Snow Covers Mountains in Bulgaria, Lower Parts See Warm, Sunny Weather

Snow is expected to fall over the high mountains in Bulgaria in few days, while the lowest parts of the country will see warm and sunny weather, forecasts say.

The temperatures will drop by up to 12C in the forthcoming weekend. The cold spell is likely to be accompanied by frost blanket in the same period.

The warm weather is expected to come back for a couple of days, starting October 15, when the mercury will zoom up to 27C.

Putting Тourists in Hot Water - FT

A warm mist floats over the thermal spring at Rupite, a shallow pool in a flower-filled park in southern Bulgaria. The spring has long been associated with Vanga, a 20th century spiritualist who claimed the area had a special energy that contributed to her powers of prophecy.

Iskar River Gorge

Unlike most regions in Bulgaria, which, slowly but surely are emerging out of anonymity to make their mark on Europe’s tourist map, the northwestern parts of the country continues to be terra incognita not only to foreign tourists, but to many a Bulgarian too. First-Class Shopping Center for 150 M EUR to Appear in Varna

ECE Projektmanagement, the European market leader for shopping centers, is developing a first-class shopping center in Varna.

With its more than 54,000 sq. m of leasable area, more than 220 high-quality shops, and approx. 2,300 parking lots, the Cherno More Park will create an attractive shopping location in the strongly growing town at the Black Sea coast. The total investment volume of Cherno More Park is 150 mln EUR.
