Byala Resort Expects Strong Summer Season

Byala resort expects strong tourism season, informed Anastas Trendafilov, mayor of the Black sea municipality.
He believes that this summer the resort will welcome more European tourists compared to the previous year.
Growth of the number of Russian tourists is also expected.

The municipal is considering the development of yaht port in the resort.

Eight Bulgarian Beaches Awarded with the “Blue Flag” for 2008

A total of 8 beaches received the “Blue Flag” Award for this year. The winners are the beach of Dyuni, Haramanite Beach in Sozopol, the East Beach of Pomorie, Sunny Beach, Venid Beach in Saint Vlas, the beaches of Albena, Riviera and Sunny Day. Marina Dinevi yacht port in Sveti Vlas was also awarded with a blue flag.

The award is given only to the beaches, which meet 4 groups of requirements, namely: quality and purity of water, equipment, management and safety.

Three day carnival will mark the official opening of the summer season in Bourgas


Bourgas municipal will mark the official opening of the new summer season with Art Carnival which will be held three days and three nights in the city.

The event will start on 6th June. Artists and artist formations will participate in the event. Carnival processions, competitions and more than 20 shows, concerts and programs will be held during the event. The events in the carnival will be presented in three theme overnights – classic works of art, artistic provocations and contemporary...

First Golf Course on Black Sea Coast Opens in Bulgaria's Balchik

The first golf course on the Black Sea was opened Saturday in the Bulgarian sea resort of Balchik north of the city of Varna.

The BlackSeaRama complex is worth EUR 103 M, and is located on an area of 1000 decares. It is the second professional golf course in Bulgaria, and currently has nine holes, with nine more expected to be added.

The complex also includes several dozens of luxury villas and houses, a mineral water pool, a gym, and a five-star hotel.

Seaside Sozopol Opens the Season

The municipality of Sozopol coastal city opens the summer season on June 6, Irena Nikolova, chief of ‘Tourism' municipality department informed.
She highlighted that priority for the municipality in relation with the infrastructural changes is the construction of purifying station for waste waters and the building of collectors.
Change of the public lightening in the resort is also being considered, Nikolova added.
