More air carriers add Varna routes

The number of Boeing 747s jetting to and from the Varna airport, on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, will double this summer, said airport PRO Meliha Kasacheva.

Eight flights of Russian carrier Transaero are scheduled on Mondays, generating a traffic of 2,800 passengers.

This summer, Varna will appear for the first time on the destination rosters of four airlines.

Edelweiss Air will fly to Zurich; Lithuanian Airlines will offer flights to Vilnius while Air Italy Polska will open routes...

Bulgaria to Promote Spa and Wellness Tourism

The State Tourist Agency is preparing a strategy for the development of spa and wellness tourism in Bulgaria.

The strategy was announced by the Agency's Chair Anelia Kruchkova at the First Specialized Business Forum dedicated to Spa and Wellness.

King Shishman's Treasure Discovered under Dumping Site

Golf and Spa Complex for BGN 100 M to Be Built in Bulgaria's Pravets town

A new vacation complex with a golf course and spa will be constructed in the town of Pravets by the middle of 2010.

The investment will be for about BGN 100 M, and will be realized by Teratour Service.

The professional golf course will be suitable for hosting international tournaments. A secondary golf course for beginners will also be created nearby. The total length of the golf complex plot will be about 6,5 km.

Bulgaria's Vratsa Hosts International Economy Forum

Тhe International Economy Forum "Danube" is officially opening Tuesday in the Northwestern city of Vratsa by Anna Yaneva, Deputy Economy and Energy Minister.
