The annual international bike tour Ecotopia will start in Sofia on July 4 and will end in Sinop, Turkey, on August 14. Everyone can register at the website of the event, while an exact map with the route through Bulgaria is available at the website of the local partner of the event, Bikevolution association.

The forum foresees 500 movies, the fiesta will end with July Morning celebrations.
For sixth year in a row the fest in Balchik opens doors to visitors and participants. The fest starts on June 23 and will continue till June, 30, when everybody will also celebrate July Morning. The official opening of an eco project on the biggest Bulgarian island in Danube River near the town of Belene took place on the 23th of June. The project is powered by the World Bank with a donation of $7.5 mln.

Special canal-locks and canals are built. The facilities allow the high waters of the river to float the protected wet zones on the island and the conditions will be better for the fish population and for the birds, animals and plants which are threatened with extinction. The...
