The geographic location and natural resources ranks Bulgaria among the countries with huge ornithology tourism potential. The country offers 420 species of birds – from 800 in whole Europe. The best sites for bird watching are along the Black sea coast and the Rhodope mountain. However, Bulgaria has still not set traditions in this field.

Bulgaria will invest some BGN 2.1 million into the launch of a vast campaign to promote local tourism among its citizens for the second time in the last two years, deputy Economy Minister, Ivo Marinov, said.
Funds for the initiative will be provided under the EUR 5 million Regional Development programme of the European Union. The remaining BGN 3 million will be channeled into the roll-out of another campaign, likely to be held next year, Marinov added.

Vidin municipality expects a 20% increase in the number of tourists in the town, when th enwq project for reconstruction of “Kaleto” fortress is completed.
The local administration has already received approval for financing by the operation program “Regional development”, announced the mayor of Vidin – Roumen Vidov.

Fashion Travel Show will take place in Premier Luxury Mountain Resort

The Bulgarian ski federation announced the idea for the construction of a huge ski jump complex in Sofia. According to preliminary estimations the complex would cost between 10 and 15 million Euro.

The coordinator of the continental group for FIS - Horst Tilman, who is managing the construction of the ski jumps worldwide commented that Sofia is the prefect site, which will allow the town to welcome the starts of the summer and winter World cup.
