The gambling industry should be included in the general portfolio of tourist services offered in Bulgaria, according to a proposal by the Bulgarian Gaming Industry Manufacturers and Operators Trade Association.
The group has called on the government to draft a long-term development strategy for the gambling industry, which should progress in lockstep with tourism.

Bourgas municipal considers the opportunity for construction of a congress and festival centre in Bourgas, announced the head of “Tourism” department in the municipal Diyana Kolcheva. According to her the town has a great potential to develop congress tourism, not only because it is a regional centre, but also for its excellent transport connections.

Despite the financial crisis, the Rila lakes remain the most visited tourism site in Bulgaria. During the summer season, the region was visited mainly by Bulgarian tourists. However tourists from the UK, Germany and Izrael are also attracted by the picturesque natural phenomenon.

The snow cover on Vitosha Mountain is sufficient and perfect for winter sport activities just above Sofia. The ski centre announced that today “Vitoshko lale”, “Mecha polyana” and the “Green slope” ski pistes are perfectly maintained and will welcome skiers. Every evening from 06.30 PM – 10.00 PM night skiing is available on “Vitoshko Lale” slope in the resort.

The heaviest snowfall was registered last night in the Vratsa region in Bulgaria.
Ski slope Parshevitsa is opened for all ski lovers for Thursday and Friday mornings, and all day long during the Saturday and Sundays.
Moderate snowfall is expected in the mountains during the next few days. A new fresh snow in the bigger resorts as Bansko, Borovets and Pamporovo is expected by the end of the week.
