Third Bridge over Danube

Private investors from Oman recently expressed their interest in building a new bridge over the Danube, connecting Romania and Bulgaria in the Calarasi / Silistra region, Bulgarian media informs.

The official intention was made public by Ivo Andonov, Silistra mayor, quoted by the national radio.
The second bridge is currently under construction and is scheduled to come into use in 2010, connecting the cities of Calafat and Vidin.

The Municipality of Varna will cooperate with the National Tourism Board, Concerning Project for a second Bridge

Construction of second bridge over Varna Lake - "Asparuhov Brdge 2" is planned in the near future. The project represents the first of the three variants for the construction of “Cherno More” highway.

Real Estate Projects in Bulgaria Presented at International Expo

Bulgaria will take part in the largest real estate exhibition SIMA, starting May 29 in Madrid.
Investors and real estate agencies will participate with projects worth over 400 million euro, "Pari" daily reported.

Projects for two holiday villages feature among the largest developments to be presented at the expo.

Ancient Roman Town Ruins Found in Bulgaria

Bulgarian archaeologists have unearthed the remains of an early Roman town near the village of Gorsko Ablanovo, 30 kilometers south of Russe, Bulgaria's national television reported.
Initial artefact findings include a bronze duck figurine of a previously unfamiliar design and a silver fibula, which is only the fifth documented find of its kind in Bulgaria.

The stone foundations of the houses have been preserved well, despite intensive agricultural activity.

A National Geographic Movie will announce projects of Smolyan Municipal

Official representatives of “George Washington” University in USA visited Smolyan.
The delegation was represented by doctor Donald Hokins, who is one of the four persons praised with “Orpheus” award for contribution for tourism and the preservation of local communities across the world.
