Bulgaria's Burgas Airport staff was really surprised Tuesday when 8000 foreign tourists flooded the airport grounds, Bulgarian National TV Channel reported.

A total of 8000 Scandinavians, Germans and Britons stepped on Bulgarian land and the airport expects another 10 000 to land by midnight on Tuesday. Airport staff had to attend 113 charter flights in a single day, which is a record number for the month of May.

Two ancient necropolises and a church dating back to the late Middle Ages were destroyed at construction works in the town of Silistra on the Danube. Bulgaria takes 54th place in attractiveness in the World tourist destinations Ranking, made in 2007.
This points a report of the World economic forum, which defined the ranking of 124 countries in the field of tourism.

Bulgaria ranking is 4,31 from a maximum of 5,66 for Switzerland. Bulgarian rank is the same is that of Turkey and Latvia. In the same group are countries like Dominican republic and Mexico.

The regional governor of Vidin eng. The choice of investor, who will construct the ski centre over Dobrinishte in Pirin Mountain, is legal. This was announced by the municipal governor of Blagoevgrad Vladimir Dimitrov.
The counselors have already authorized the Mayor of Bansko – Mr. Alexander Kravarov to start talks with the company that won the bid.
