Crowds of Foreign Tourists Invade Bulgaria's Burgas Airport

Bulgaria's Burgas Airport staff was really surprised Tuesday when 8000 foreign tourists flooded the airport grounds, Bulgarian National TV Channel reported.

A total of 8000 Scandinavians, Germans and Britons stepped on Bulgarian land and the airport expects another 10 000 to land by midnight on Tuesday. Airport staff had to attend 113 charter flights in a single day, which is a record number for the month of May.

The Sorbonne Finances Excavations in Bulgaria

Two ancient necropolises and a church dating back to the late Middle Ages were destroyed at construction works in the town of Silistra on the Danube. World Tourist Destinations Ranking: Bulgaria Takes 54 Place

Bulgaria takes 54th place in attractiveness in the World tourist destinations Ranking, made in 2007.
This points a report of the World economic forum, which defined the ranking of 124 countries in the field of tourism.

Bulgaria ranking is 4,31 from a maximum of 5,66 for Switzerland. Bulgarian rank is the same is that of Turkey and Latvia. In the same group are countries like Dominican republic and Mexico.

International Crafts Fair in Vidin

The regional governor of Vidin eng. Krastio Spasov greeted the organizers and participants in the First international craft fair, which opened yesterday in Vidin. “The craft fair offers great opportunities for every participant in the event, because it is a way to exhibit their products and exchange experience and to create profitable contacts with foreign colleagues”, announced the municipal governor. Green light for the ski centre in Dobrinishte

The choice of investor, who will construct the ski centre over Dobrinishte in Pirin Mountain, is legal. This was announced by the municipal governor of Blagoevgrad Vladimir Dimitrov.
The counselors have already authorized the Mayor of Bansko – Mr. Alexander Kravarov to start talks with the company that won the bid.
The company of the construction enterpriser Nikolai Galchev “Galchev Engineering Group” will invest over 200 million BGN in the project.
