A blue rose bloomed for the first time this month in the Botanic garden in Balchik, the news was announced by the department which is under the jurisdiction of the Sofia University “St. Climent Ohridski”
The plant is unique with its ability to change its colour from saturated blue to violet, depending on the acidity of the soil, reported Focus agency.

A monument of Tsar Simeon The Great will be opened in the old capital of Bulgaria- Preslav. The initiative will mark 1080 years from the death of the Bulgarian ruler.
The monument will be raised close by the “Golden” (Zlatnata) church, which together with the throne hall, impress with their magnificent outlook. The Old Town called Veliki Preslav, was built during the rule of Tsar Simeon the Great and competed with Constantinople.

A 200-seats passenger ship will travel from Bulgaria's Svishtov to Romania's town of Zimnich starting from June 1.
