The Religious Tourism has been discussed in Varna

Religious tourism was the accent of the Black Sea Tourism Forum in Varna. “Religious Tourism: Monasteries-the image of Bulgarian spirit” was the topic of the forum. The event took place from 16th till 18th of October.

State National Championships 2008

Pirin Golf Club hosted the 2008 State National Golf Championships, where the best of Bulgarian golfers competed for this prestigious title.
The 18 holes were played over the established Ian Woosnam 9 -hole design and the newer Pines course which threads its way in and out of the forest - two very different nine-hole layouts that tested the competitors’ skills.

Archaeologists Unearth Bulgarian Madonna

Archaeologists have discovered the Bulgarian copy of the Virgin Mary at the excavations of the unique necropolis discovered by the village of Nissovo near Rousse on the Danube. The expedition is led by the archaeologist Templar, Prof. Nikolay Ovcharov. The sensational finding is the medieval burial of a mother and a child. Unique Byzantine Mosaics Unearthed in Bulgaria's Kyustendil

A team of Bulgarian archaeologists discovered Wednesday unique mosaics from Byzantine times during excavation works in the town of Kyustendil.

The beautiful findings, which are drawn mainly with geometrical figures, once tiled the floors of official halls in a Byzantine private house, the experts reported.
